10/6/2008The first fall trip up to RC was last weekend and I celebrated by crunching up my exhaust. The weather was just about perfect despite some overnight showers. So, except for a little damage, a pretty good trip. Even more exciting however, was having the group next to our camp site thrown out of the park at 10 saturday night. Sadly this did not result in any extra firewood for us. Pictures are up.

9/23/2008Married? You bet. Super married. I'm also older, have gone to another oktoberfest and celebrated another KFC night. And I have pictures of none of the above yet. However, Mexico has been posted.

8/30/2008Hey so I'm getting married today. And in fact in the history of marriage, this will be at the very least 23% more marriage-y than ever before. The level of marriage taking place today will be at levels never before witnessed. And I predict by this afternoon, all sun and no thunderstorms.

8/9/2008Making the more responsible decision, I called it a half day friday to head up to the warm and inviting Jersey City for the All Points West Festival's Friday showing. Actually the first music festival I've been to in quite a while, it was a pretty good evening. Normally where you only get an opening act that may or may not be any good, here we had three stages of music all afternoon so that many more mays or may nots all at once. We started off late with Mates of State, then the New Pornographers and Andrew Bird. Then about half-way into his set we wandered over to the insane party that is a Girl Talk show. Probably the unexpected highlight of the afternoon. One guy, two laptops, and hundreds of crazy people jumping all over the stage. Radiohead finished the night off, and as per the usual a good show. Just about all new stuff which is a decent live show. That is, until they bring out a rocking older song that makes all the new stuff seem so tame. All in all a good time. Plus I didn't get cut or carjacked (thanks Jersey City).
